Position aligns to the Digital Manufacturing and 3D Printing team and provides deep technical knowledge and expertise in pre-sales and post-sales environments to achieve business goals, cultivate customer experience and future development. The Application Engineer collaborates with R&D, Product and Sales Teams, resellers and customers in the country or region with global support. Identifying business and growth opportunities, providing technical consulting, and assessing customer needs. Specialized knowledge of 3D printing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the technical sales resource,supporting the Account Executive in the sales process

  • Work with the potential customer toidentify the appropriate applications / use-cases that can benefit from Xerox’s3D Printing solutions

  • Provide comprehensive demonstrations ofexisting and new use case capabilities to potential customers (includingoperating the machine and producing parts)

  • Support customer programs and earlycustomer engagements during experimentation, installation, early phase ofoperation and application exploration ramp up.

  • Provide voice-of-customer to ProductManagement and R&D teams to drive developments roadmap.

  • Collaborate with our customers, partnersand sales teams to identify new application opportunities.

  • Develop and design application notes,design guides and best practices for new applications.

  • Develop and implement novel technical anddesign strategies to optimize the success of producing parts that meet customerrequirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering,materials science or similar discipline.

  • 3 years Engineering experience

  • 2 year experience with traditionalmanufacturing & prototyping processes (CNC, Injection Molding, MIM, PM,etc.).

  • 2 year experience in Mechanical / DesignCAD and/or design software such as Rhino, Maya, 3D Studio Max, etc.

  • Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing and 3DPrinting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Product design & projectmanagement in a cross-functional environment – including meeting challengingdeadlines.

  • Experience in sales support, applicationsengineering or product design, in one or more of these industries: Automotive,Aerospace, Heavy Equipment or Oil & Gas, or Defense

  • Ability to effectively execute problemsolving methodology to identify and solve product and process issues

  • Strong communication, Interpersonal andorganizational skills
