Job Description:

The Application Support Analyst is responsible for planning, installing, supporting, monitoring, upgrading and maintaining software application/solutions consistent with organizational goals, industry best practices, and established security requirements. Additionally; you will leverage your experience with FedRAMP and familiarity with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) to perform assessments for cloud computing technologies in meeting federal compliance.

Experience with Cloud technologies, infrastructure transformation and automation is a must. The right candidate will need to possess the drive and interpersonal skills to resolve common conflicts experienced through transformation, help evolve the team, the platform and constantly drive business value in a dynamic and hyper-fast environment.

Responsibilities:

•Install, configure, test, manage, maintain and upgrade software including database, operating systems, and applications independently and in teams

•Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to drive, track, and resolve all aspects of compliance readiness and audit execution

•Collaborate with a cross-functional team of application developers, operations engineers, and architects to understand complex product requirements and translate them into automated solutions

•Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability in support of Infrastructure, Software and Platform as a Service offerings

•Develop Security Authorization Packages and ensure completeness and compliance with FedRAMP requirements and other authoritative IT security guidance

•Troubleshoot, diagnose and analyze incidents for integrated systems spanning multiple hosts, technologies and software applications

•Respond rapidly to system maintenance needs, including evenings and weekends

•Ensure adherence to policies/standards

•Write and maintain code for automating application and infrastructure releases

•Ensure all solutions are properly monitored and instrumented (Dynatrace experience a plus)

•Analyze server, network and storage characteristics (e.g. CPU behavior, latency, rate, saturation and utilization), triage and troubleshoot problems

•Participates in, or potentially leads, FedRAMP gap assessment, compliance readiness, and compliance monitoring activities.

Qualifications:

•3 years of experience in information security, with strong NIST experience: NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, RMF, FISMA, NIST SP 800-171

•Strong knowledge of technology and security topics including network and application security, infrastructure hardening, security baselines, web server, and database security

•3 years experience supporting web applications and relational database architectures

•2 years experience writing code and/or script (PowerShell, PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby etc…)

•Working knowledge of container technologies, deployment and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Cluster API)

•Experience with networking technologies and concepts including load balancing, firewalls, routing and switching networking, single sign-on and active directory

•Working knowledge of standard Wintel security methodologies, hardening procedures, and best practices

•Knowledge of the various services and capabilities of cloud computing platforms (AWS, OpenStack, Azure etc.)

•Knowledge and understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices (including CI/CD pipeline)

•Understanding of agile and other development processes and methodologies

Soft Skills:

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills required while working collaboratively in a team environment and interacting with customers, system owner, and vendors

•Aptitude for influencing others without direct authority

•Ability to prioritize, and work well under pressure

•Excellent communication and documentation skills, both in technical and non-technical arenas

•Adept at learning and applying new technologies and solving new problems

•Ability to work both independently and within a global team environment

Education:

•At least one advanced cybersecurity certification such as: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, CRISC, CAP, CASP, or other relevant security certifications, multiple are preferred

•High School diploma or equivalent required

•Bachelor’s degree preferred
