Note: This position is located at a Xerox facility in Middletown, OH


In this role, you will work in a light electro/mechanical manufacturing environment while coordinating and implementing new recovery programs. You will develop documentation and associated training for equipment recovery that yields designated quality specifications while minimizing required labor. You should be able to interpret complex designs, circuits and schematics and apply knowledge of engineering principals to planning, preparation of plans and specifications for new equipment, sub-assemblies, or parts.


  • Assure continued customersatisfaction by maintaining assembly/disassembly, logistics, sort andinspection processes

  • Reduce cost by initiating andimplementing more efficient assembly/disassembly methods

  • Partner with supervisory staff tomaintain a safe/clean environment by constructing Safe Job Procedures andElectrostatic safe work areas

  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools toreduce cycle time, eliminate waste, and minimize variation in repair processes

  • Participate in production meetingsto plan training, distribution of work, and solve workflow issues

  • Provide guidance,direction and instructions to other assigned personnel and, as required,co-workers, in lieu of direct supervision

  • Develop process timestandards, training operators, analyzing defects and participating in problemsolving forums.

  • Create and manage thepack processes

  • Develop part removalprocesses that maximize yield

  • Create and manage SafeJob procedures

  • Manage environmentalcompliances for the Asset Recovery Group

  • Responsible forEmergency Ordering (EO) process

  • Manage and revise theprocess flow

  • Create and modify workstations

Candidate Education:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent certification

Qualifications :

  • 1-5 years of experience as an Engineer in a manufacturing or service environment

  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills

  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills

  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to work effectively with a mixed Union and Contract industrial work force

  • Must be proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Access, Project, and Computer Networking
