Primary Responsibilities:

  • May perform one or more of the following:

  • Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products.

  • May develop a range of products including device drivers, patches, operating system modifications, graphics modules,etc.

  • Analyzes, programs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet related computer programs.

  • Using current programming languages and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.

  • Plans and directs studies of potential electronic data processing applications.

  • Develops and installs programs to support general business applications running on PCs.

  • Designs web pages, including graphics, animation, and functionality; develops infrastructure and applications related to pages.

  • May make hardware or software purchasing recommendations regarding web development.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Candidate Education:

  • Minimum High School Diploma / (GED) / Secondary School GCSE or equivalent

  • Preferred Associate Degree / College Diploma

  • Candidate Background:

  • A strong team ethic with the ability to build relationships and work effectively in large and small teams.

  • Good organizational skills with an analytical approach to problem solving and some knowledge/awareness of project planning.

  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) as well as Intranet and Internet for research purposes.

  • Good motivation, drive and initiative to develop new skills, get involved in new pieces of work, display enthusiasm and be able to work hard with or without supervision.

  • Good verbal, numerical and analytical skills with the ability to see the bigger picture as well as the detail, whether analyzing data, processes or ways of working.

  • The ability to obtain and effectively use information, including the ability to identify the information needed, seek the information from a variety of sources, and skillfully extract and report the information for business benefit.

  • Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
