Purpose of the Role

  • Maximisingbusiness revenue streams and profitability opportunities by pro-activelynegotiating favourable terms & conditions of high value contracts tocomply with internal and external controls.

  • Face-to-facenegotiations with Corporate and Public Sector Customers

  • Workingacross multi-disciplined teams to ensure contractual obligations can bemet

  • Provideexpert advice on deal construction, contract development and commercial /operational requirements.

  • Actas centre of competence and excellence within Xerox as a companywide business advisory resource, and specifically mentoring of CommercialExecutives and other parties involved in large contract negotiations ortender responses.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provideexpert advice on deal construction, contract development and commercial /operational requirements.

  • Faceto face customer negotiation of Xerox priority contracts.

  • ReviewTs&Cs of non-standard contracts and supporting documentation, toensure a balanced achievement of:

  • Internal& external controls compliance (including accounting policies)

  • Ensuringcontractual requirements can be fulfilled from legal, commercial anddelivery perspective with consideration of:

  • Customerrequirements

  • Subcontractorrequirements

  • Facilitateauthorisation for non-standard contracts via the contract approvalprocesses, escalating as necessary.

  • Actas a centre of competence for engagement with resellers &subcontractors and ‘back-to-back’ negotiations.

  • Providesupport to margin/scoping reviews as required.

  • Supportthe continuous development of the non-standard contract approvalprocesses/roles.

  • Supportbusiness outlooking process by accurate and timely reporting of work inprocess to line manager.

  • Engagerequisite areas of the business as required to support with CommercialGroup projects & communication initiatives.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’sdegree, preferably in Law or Business Studies

  • Successin negotiating moderately complex contracts with minimal supervision

  • Projectmanagement skills

  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills

  • Proveninterpersonal, negotiation and persuasion techniques

  • Self-motivatedwith strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Abilityto multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Familiaritywith Xerox products and services.

  • Demonstratedability to establish and maintain solid, trusting working relationshipsinternally and externally

  • Collaborativeworking style with demonstrated track record of building consensus andachieving innovation and results
