Role, Purpose, and Scope

Provide accounting and internal control support for reconciling the bank accounts used by Xerox Technology. Ensure compliance with US GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal control requirements.

Major Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of accounting functions including one or more of the following duties:

  • Responsible for processing cash / wire deposits to over 40 different accounts for multiple billing systems.

  • Perform bank account reconciliations

  • Perform Met Life and Customs account reconciliations

  • Download bank statements

  • Submit NSF report to Supervisor

  • Print and distribute cash sale reporting

  • CARE reporting and distribution

  • Volume deposit reporting

  • Desktop Application – incoming wires.

  • Uses best practices and knowledge of business issues to improve processes.

  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective to identify solutions.

  • Works independently; receives minimal guidance and able to prioritize tasks.

Background, skills, experience and qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in Accounting

  • 2 to 7 years of business experience demonstrating US GAAP accounting knowledge

  • Excellent (English) communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong PC skills – significant use of Excel and Access

Role specific competencies and requirements

  • Require knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint;

  • Desire knowledge of Hyperion Essbase

  • Desire knowledge of Microsoft Access

  • Desire knowledge of Oracle General Ledger

  • Complete tasks within specific timeframes – may require extended hours during month end close including the 3 rd shift

  • Good interpersonal skills

Candidate Education:

Graduation in specialized field in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience

Professional Certifications:

Preferred Accounting Certification applicable to the geographic area of the role (may be required in some geographies)

Candidate Background:

Minimum Through prior work experience candidate has basic skills to perform routine tasks

Minimum Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Minimum Knowledge of finance principles and relevant internal policies

Minimum Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation

Minimum Proficiency in relevant accounting software

Minimum Proven analytical skills with high degree of attention to accuracy and detail

Minimum Excellent planning and organizing skills

Minimum Effective communications skills, strong business acumen and financial skills

Minimum Demonstrates a proactive approach to work with initiative and drive

Minimum Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team oriented environment

Minimum Able to maintain confidentiality in all assignments and tasks

Minimum Competent with advanced features & database functionality of Microsoft Excel and Access

Additional Role Requirements:

Usual hours are: Monday – Friday 2 pm – 11 pm

Schedule is a guide only, must be flexible and able to work overtime if the project designates.
