Xerox Production Inkjet Solution Architect in New Jersey, New Jersey


The Solution Architect (SA) will provide the technical and analytical expertise in the pre-sale support of Xerox Production Inkjet (PIJ) solutions. The SA is a trusted customer advisor, technical strategist and architect of complex Production Inkjet solutions. The SA is fully qualified to handle a wide application of theories, concepts, and principles especially in the area of color, and has specialized knowledge in Continuous Feed applications and workflow. The Solution Architect is viewed by both Internal and External Stakeholders as an expert in enabling Production Inkjet Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Presales (Primary Focus)

  • Identify key customer application(s) and identify requirements to migrate them to the proposed solution

  • Analyze/document customer requirements, customer's physical workflows and customer's electronic workflows

  • Technical support for presentations/customized demos

  • Provide technical support and solution presentation for PIJ Proof of Concept demonstrations

  • SME on offset to digital transfer, transaction workflows, document creation software, Adobe PDF tools, Xerox FreeFlow Suite of Software and color management

  • Work with 3rd party hardware and software partners to design solutions that meet customer business / technical requirements

  • Define and recommend technical and process changes for customer future state.

  • Coordinate file testing process with customer and Application Testing group

  • Scope basic/value-added services required for solution

  • Write/present technical portions of proposals and RFP / RFI / RFQ responses

  • Develop, write and gain customer's acceptance for formal Statement of Work

  • Develop high level implementation plan, working with Xerox, customer, 3rd-parties

  • Maintain skills required by new technologies

  • Experience in production printing environments

  • Job Assignment will be responsible for covering multiple states and will travel will be up to 70%.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5 years production printing experience with OEM or in print provider operations

  • Adobe PDF Tools

  • Color management
