The Intelligent System laboratory at The Palo Alto Research Center is looking for a summer research intern to support projects in the area of Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) Security.
The ideal candidate will be a Ph.D. student with the following skills:
Strong knowledge of control theory, probability theory and optimization.
Familiarity with non-traditional approaches to security and safety of cyber-physical systems.
Knowledge of machine learning and experience with deep-learning platforms.
Strong expertise in Python.
The intern will support PARC researchers in:
Identifying and classifying vectors of attacks on cyber-physical systems.
Designing and analyzing control schemes that are robust to malicious attacks.
Designing physics-infused detection schemes for malicious attacks on cyber-physical systems.
Designing methods and metrics for evaluating robustness of CPS systems against attacks.
Writing patents and publications based on research activity.
