Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Content Strategy will be responsible for developing the vision, cadence, and depth of our content offerings, overseeing every step of the process from ideation and creation to distribution and conversion. Working closely with various stakeholders including marketing, corporate communications, and sales, the Senior Manager, Content Strategy will be tasked with the overall quality and efficacy of content across the site, video and social media. Success will be measured through increased engagement with customers, potential customers, and the wider marketplace, with the ultimate goal of driving higher conversion. This role is critical in building our organic audience while working closely with paid media to ensure strategic alignment. The ideal candidate is a lifelong storyteller with excellent editorial instincts, possesses a creative knack for leveraging the specific vernacular of digital media to tell stories, is perennially curious about users’ changing and fragmented content consumption habits, and is comfortable operating in a complex, matrixed, large organization.

Responsibilities

  • Strong thought leader who crafts compelling stories that tell the overall Xerox brand story effectively, with an emotional pull, credibility of messaging, and level of sophistication that is not always seen in content marketing.

  • Lead editorial team to create written and visual content that can be featured both externally and internally and drives awareness and business performance

  • Help set and report on OKRs/Objectives and Key Results for content on the site, video and social, and distributed through related properties.

  • Conceptualize and socialize a strategy for achieving these OKRs and then distill that strategy into action by building a daily, weekly and monthly editorial calendar.

  • Align content strategy with business strategy and e-commerce initiatives, looking for ways to increase revenue and capture greater sales leads.

  • Work with audience development and social media to ensure the effective, efficient distribution of content, and to gather learnings from campaign successes and failures.

  • Benchmark Xerox’s offerings against competitors as well unrelated but innovative digital content publishers to gather learnings and inform strategic decision making.

  • Manage a network of vendors including individual contributors and agency resources.
