About the Job

The world-renowned R&D teams at Xerox PARC have been developing new technologies designed to address many of the most complex and hard-to-solve challenges in the Cleantech sector. The Business Analyst for Cleantech is a newly created role that will work closely with the Business Development Lead, the VP and Head of the Cleantech Business Unit, and the R&D team at PARC to identify and advance new opportunities in Xerox’s new Cleantech Business.

This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation for Cleantech solutions and be a part of commercializing cutting edge technology and launching new business ventures and products.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Xerox’ Cleantech business / corporate development group to help identify new business opportunities.

  • Perform market research to qualify and quantify new product or service prospects.

  • Review competitors’ products and businesses, technologies, and status.

  • Identify opportunities for collaboration with internal and external groups to advance Xerox innovation to commercialization.

Qualifications

  • BS in Business, or Engineering, MBA preferred.

  • 2+ years’ experience in business analysis in an advanced technology environment.

  • Creative, insightful, able to hunt for and assemble non-obvious patterns and connections in business.

  • Experience with proprietary business databases such as Pitchbook, Bloomberg, or Crunchbase.

  • Familiarity with finance terms and metrics pertaining to business operations.

  • Ability to quickly grasp technical information of moderate complexity.

  • Clear communicator, able to distill essential messages to terse scale.

  • Reliable, self-starting, comfortable in making cold calls for market research purposes
