Xerox Integrated Communications Manager, Technology in Palo Alto, California

Job Description:

The Manager of Integrated Communications, Technology will lead the creation and implementation of integrated communications plans for the Technology Group and the Xerox Digital eXperience team. These plans will include both internal and external tactics, working closely with members of other teams such as PR and social as needed to execute a successful, multi-faceted strategy.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who's a top-notch writer, skilled at both strategic planning and managing tactical execution, and comfortable wearing many hats. They must be detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to influence key decision makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Workswith functional leaders and stakeholders to develop a strategic communicationsplan that combines internal and external tactics to deliver success. Forexample, employee or partner communications, social media and PR.

  • Owns theexecution of the communications plan, which includes but is not limited todeveloping messaging, creating deliverables and managing project teams asrequired.

  • Mines and develops compelling stories and thought leadershipopportunities that emphasis Xerox’s innovation and cutting-edge technologies.

  • Servesas a liaison with PARC, Xerox’s storied innovation company in Silicon Valley,to ensure communications plans align with Xerox’s narrative and strategy.

  • Collaborateswith the marketing team to ensure alignment in messaging, timing and objectives.

  • Collaborateswith the external relations team on identifying and executing on media andspeaking opportunities for the Chief Technology Officer and other relatedtechnology leaders.

  • Advisesthe Chief Technology Officer on how to use communications to effectively navigatechange and enable Xerox’s transformation.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant work (corporate/executive communications or journalism preferred)

  • Strongwriting and editorial skills

  • Strategicthinking and planning and ability to win high-level buy-in and work throughothers

  • Professionaland executive presence conducive to working with senior leadership

  • Abilityto formulate clear and concise executive and strategic messages for internaland external audiences on complex topics

  • Mustquickly learn to adapt writing to different voices and styles

  • Resourcefulin gathering information from across the organization

  • Championmulti-tasker

  • Extremely organizedwith strong attention to detail
