Role, Purpose and Scope

Provide accounting and accounting system maintenance for XBS. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal control requirements.

Major Responsibilities

Uses best practices and knowledge of business issues to improve processes.

Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective to identify solutions.

Works independently; receives minimal guidance.

Performs a variety of accounting functions within the Accounting department. May perform one or more of the following duties:

Gather and develop reporting for the monthly financial close-Staffing levels, Inventory, XBS Mgmt. reporting.

Research transactional data in various systems and gather appropriate supporting detail for journal entries.

Accounts Payable/Accrued Expenses, Employee Expense accounting lead.

Fixed Assets lead

Review balance sheet and P&L; identify and take action on potential financial issues.

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and Corporate submissions. Understand key business information and trends supporting the reconciliation.

Ownership of Xerox-XBS Revenue Transfer model--$200M+/year

Maintenance of XBS financial structure, Hyperion XBS consolidation and mapping model to Xerox ECS consolidation system-for changes for new entities, core consolidations, account changes, new corporate accounts

Maintain financial reporting integrity, ie-any changes made per previous responsibility are applied to all XBS reports used by management and for Xerox

Regular interaction with, XBS Database IT team, operations and other accounting/finance team members in both XBS-U.S. and Guatemala and Xerox-U.S. and Philippines.

Background, skills, experience and qualifications

3 – 5 years of experience in Accounting applying their knowledge of US GAAP

Excellent (English) communication skills (verbal and written)

Strong PC skills – significant use of Excel

Xerox ECS, eAutomate experience –desired, not required

Hyperion experience-required

Role specific competencies and requirements

Complete tasks within specific timeframes – may require extended hours during month end close

Communicate issues to management

Able to prioritize tasks

Good interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently
