Xerox Technical Service Representative
Location: Chalk River, Ontario
Responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of products and systems including hardware, software, networking products and operating systems. The role provides complete support coverage for equipment assigned to a customer in order to maintain the highest possible up-time for the customer. While the support extends from supply replenishment through finished output, including operation of the equipment and finishing devices, it also includes full break/fix repair of the assigned equipment.
Responsibilities :
Performs full range of maintenance on small desktop/convenience copiers, printers, and MFD’s including technical diagnostics, software loads, print driver installs, network installations, removal, retrofit and customer call assistance.
Corrects service problems within the assigned products with limited assistance.
Basic Windows and Network Connectivity knowledge. Can complete basic installs: must be able to connect individual devices to the customer’s network and install drivers onto PCs.
Serves as the primary customer contact for all maintenance, productivity, and supply requests of assigned equipment.
Interfaces with end users and IT to support/ troubleshoot all printing related issues.
Identifies and migrates customer applications to the most cost efficient output device.
Performs pro-active routine services to ensure equipment availability to client site users.
Checks operation of equipment, clean, adjust as required to ensure optimal print quality.
Replaces consumables as required (CRU, paper, toner).
Proactively manage consumables and supplies replacement. Complete inventory reporting as required.
Supports download & installation of printer drivers for end-users of network connected devices (as required).
Manages call activity and call close administration, including accurate reporting in XSM and Call Handling.
Responsible for assigned company assets (i.e. parts, tools, communication and computing devices).
Maintains and manages Xerox trunk and on-site inventory with a high degree of effectiveness.
Qualifications :
Successful completion of technical knowledge test
Successful prior experience delivering services within an on-site client environment demonstrating superior customer service skills
Previous field technician or electrical/mechanical repair experience
Excellent communication Skills
Effective interpersonal skill & behaviors with the ability to interact with a diverse client population
Demonstrated capability in the maintenance and repair of electronic /electrical /mechanical printing or computer equipment
Effective organizational skills
PC skills in MS Office applications, Internet navigation
Basic understanding of network printing, job creation, and submission
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must be able to travel between Canada and the United States for Training
