EPMO Portfolio Management Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working within the Portfolio Management function -responsible for the successful tracking and reporting of investment and projectportfolio status, health, and financials.

  • Responsible for ensuring data accuracy of investmentportfolio within the PPM system and all related tools.

  • Captures and ensures quality of business cases for newproject intake reviews. Works with key stakeholders to complete businesscases.

  • Distributes new project intake review disposition

  • Ensures portfolio team view represented and worksproactively with other key interconnected areas including procurement,finance, and performance management.

  • Monitors and captures benefits realization data andproduces related reports on status.

  • Participates in formal portfolio, program andmanagement reviews

  • Work with EPMO leaders on key processes and issuesfacing demand management, benefits realization, and portfolio reporting.

  • Contributes to the development of new and improvement ofexisting EPMO and Portfolio Management processes and procedures.

Produces ad-hoc reports and presentations on portfolio demand management, prioritization and selection, overall portfolio status/health, and benefits tracking.

Candidate Education:

Graduation in specialized field in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field.

Professional Certifications:

Preferred PMP or equivalent Project Management certification

Candidate Background:

  • Direct participation in full lifecycle projects, orsubsections of large/complex projects

  • Experience in portfolio management

  • Experience in portfolio and program reporting

  • Ability to perform critical analysis of large, complex portfoliosand programs

  • Ability to effectively interview and interact withproject executive sponsors, project team and external consultants

  • Demonstrated integrity within a professionalenvironment

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite ofapplications

  • Broad knowledge Project Management Institute (PMI)Knowledge Areas

  • Has project management and business analysis skills.

  • Has strong communication and presentation skills and isproficient in project management.

  • Ability to translate business acumen into business casedetails

  • Well-developed abilities to build positiverelationships with key stakeholders.

  • Has IT and business/industry work experience, togetherwith experience participating in managing projects and or projectportfolios.

Has established industry connections / networking (relationships with other suppliers, other companies)
