Purpose:
The Mail and Processing Specialist is responsible for receiving, sorting, and delivering mail and packages to Xerox clients. This position affords the opportunity to support the efficient transfer of mail within and among Xerox’s clients. The role holder will work with all aspects of mailings and deliver critical business documents to all employees onsite. The overall objective of this role is to act as the primary representative of Xerox, delivering excellent customer service and being the trusted advisor to achieve customer satisfaction and goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver contracted customer services (receiving, processing, and delivering mail/packages), acting as the Xerox point of contact. Maintain Xerox required reporting logs and information for billing.
Deliver completed jobs to pre-determined customer locations within the site.
Perform various Mail Center activities (sorting, metering, folding, inserting, pickup, etc.).
Problem-solve issues to complete mail and package delivery on time, ensuring accuracy of work.
Maintain appropriate supply inventory for mailing and packaging machines.
Responsible for delivering high standards of quality for the services provided.
Ensuring that all equipment used is correctly maintained.
Ability to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, and reach.
Skills and Requirements:
Provide excellent customer service, anticipating the needs of the customer to align with Xerox’s business mission.
Demonstrate business maturity and professionalism while working directly with customers daily.
Able to work with minimal oversight, maintaining a high attention to detail and organization.
Functional knowledge of a PC, including Microsoft Office and web browsing, sending and receiving emails, managing files, and performing data entry.
Eager to learn technologies surrounding mail processing.
Demonstrate superior time management skills and reliability.
Education and Experience:
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Training provided on mailroom and shipping responsibilities (prior experience is beneficial, but not required).
Experience in a customer service environment (minimum 1 year).
Experience with taking ownership of work, ensuring quality standards, and that all contractual obligations are met.
