  • Aspart of Xerox’s Global Purchasing organisation in India, you will be a memberof ProductCost Engineering team that supports Product Costing, Development and, manufacturingof Xerox products with supplier partners in India / Asia. You’ll specialise in Mechanical parts (Plastics, Sheet Metal,Castings, Elastomers etc) cost estimations.

  • Responsible for the negotiation of contracts that secure favorable terms in relation to the procurement of services and supplies contracts. These contracts may be in support of customer-related business processes (e.g., 3rd party suppliers for a bid) or for internal use (e.g., health care, fleet, etc.).

  • Provide critical analysis on supply chain systems to optimize service level, inventory and spend; provide process improvements.

  • Requires data mining and integration of data from various sources with MS Access database and SQL Server Reporting to deliver management reporting.

  • Provide user friendly data metrics to internal operational customers (planning, finance, and warehousing) along with within international transportation and associated transportation suppliers.

  • This job also requires analytical skills to identify root causes, develop recommendations, and implement solutions on various productivity initiatives.


Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Responsiblefor estimating part and tooling costs based on Xerox-Global Purchasingcosting global methodology.

  2. Support costeffective procurement to Xerox requirements at geographic benchmark costsfrom key suppliers through product cost engineering and cost downactivities.

  3. SupportProduct Teardown activity of various A4 and A3 Xerox and equivalent OEMmono and colour MFP products and accessories/ Finishers.

  4. Prepare comparisonsbetween product cost estimations, current buying costs and quotationsincluding analysis of Benchmarking data.

  5. Analyzesupplier quotations for manufacturing process and material costbreakdowns.

  6. Update costdatabase to achieve benchmark cost for manufacturing processes used forElectrical, electro-mechanical assemblies.

  7. Supportbuyers during CSI (Continuous Supplier Involvement) and DFM (Design formanufacturing) meetings.

  • Development and documentation of reporting, modeling, and analysis tools that enable the supply chain to more efficiently and effectively manage the various elements including spend, cycle time, and visibility.

  • On-going ownership and maintenance of ad-hoc reporting and analytical tools, and transitioning into systems-based solutions.

  • Participation on various productivity initiatives and global supply chain optimization tasks.

Candidate Education:

  1. Minimum Bachelor'sDegree

  2. Possess an Engineering Bachelor Degree with minimum7-9 years of relevant working experience. Diploma with Minimum 10-12 yearsof experience also considered.

  3. Experience in cost estimation of Mechanical Partsis essential. It includes plastic, metal, sheet, shaft, rubber,Mechatronic assly, and all types tooling. Experience in cost estimation ofElectronics, Electrical, and Electro-Mechanical parts is advantageous.

  4. Knowledge of manufacturing processes utilized in Mechanicalcommodities is essential.

  5. Willing to travel to other Xerox facilities and supplierlocations (short visits and short term assignments).

  6. Possesses Strong analytical, interpersonal andcommunication skills.

Candidate Background:

Minimum Proven MS Access database, SQL, or equivalent development skills critically required; including queries, forms, and reports.

Minimum Flexibility in supporting global scheduling and outside suppliers/providers.

Minimum Data warehouse, planning/buying and/or transportation experience a plus.

Minimum Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

Minimum Demonstrated analytical skills required

Minimum Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Minimum Team work skills are critical, along with being able to manage multiple tasks and deliver results on-time

Minimum Strong time management and organizational skills a must

Minimum Ability to communicate across multiple levels of management and business partners

Preferred Knowledge and experience using Xerox Lean Six Sigma Tools
