Candidate will be working with a cross functional team in the design, development, and integration of H/W, S/W and F/W (embedded) applications. SW applications range from simple host applications to complex multithreading applications that interface with other SW tools and HW. F/W development includes development of HW drivers, ARM Cortex M series microcontrollers for multiple in-system printer control PCBAs, and overall complex embedded applications for HW test beds and for integration in commercial applications and HW such as printers. H/W design of electronic circuits for control systems ranging from simple to complex using the latest tools to design & analyze the effects of various component critical specifications for system critical parameter performance (CADENCE).
The candidate will be responsible for the application(s) integration in existing architectures (e.g. printers), life cycle management including field problem debugging and general maintenance/upgrades to support new features, H/W and/or Operating System changes. The engineer will also assume the same level of responsibilities for existing H/W and F/W applications. In addition, the individual will be expected to support other code development activities outside his/her key deliverables as necessary. It will be a fast pace environment, requiring a proactive individual who goes above and beyond what is minimally required efficiently seeking the information necessary to deliver in a timely and quality fashion. Real-time support and resolution of issues affecting manufacturing line production, field applications and/or integration activities is an important aspect of the job.
Good understanding of circuitry/electronics, ARM microcontrollers and FPGA in-depth programming development and integration experience using industry standard development.
Excellent Object-Oriented Programming skills and knowledge/understanding of C and C# languages.
Familiarity with motion control subsystems & electronic components and their design.
Discipline, knowledge and experience using source code version control.
Hands-on approach to solving problems and developing solutions.
Must have strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
Must have strong communication and team building skills.
Experience using MS Visual Studio is highly desired
Experience with BitBucket is a plus.
Knowledge of Python is a plus
Must have a Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
