Xerox Electrical/Controls Engineer in WEBSTER, New York
Xerox is currently seeking a talented individual in the Electrical Engineering field to join a dynamic, fast-paced environment at our Webster, NY facility. The candidate will be responsible for the design and development of new manufacturing equipment as well as the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing equipment.
The position will involve working with a small team of multidisciplinary engineers and chemists from defining project requirements through to delivery and post launch support. The applicant should be comfortable in a wide variety of work environments from control centers and laboratories to the production floor. This will include the design, delivery, installation, and support of equipment for use in laboratory and production environments. The role will be a mix of both hands-on and desktop work. This position will require the applicant to become well versed in a wide variety of control system architecture.
You would be joining the new product and technology development team, which develops materials, coating formulations and manufacturing techniques that enable a diverse selection of products to maintain and drive revenue growth. New and innovative technologies that we develop include printed electronics, new printing technologies, specialty coatings as well as support for inkjet and xerographic printing.
Design and deliver new coating and processing equipment for the production of printed electronics, xerographic & inkjet products, and other thin film coating markets.
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment used for the manufacture of existing and future products.
Maintain up to date drawings and documentation for new and existing manufacturing equipment.
Plant support to maintain plant uptime.
Develop process parameters and specifications in polymer process engineering for use in a production environment.
Support scale-up of products and processes to manufacturing.
Provide training and guidance for industrial staff and engineering technicians during process trials and experiments.
Utilize Six Sigma tools in process improvement and implementation.

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or similar required
Minimum 5 years experience
Good fundamental understanding of industrial control systems and design principles.
Functional experience with Allen-Bradley Control Logix 5 through Studio 5000, AutoCAD/SolidWorks, Labview, and CIP communication.
Ability to read, understand, and write ladder logic.
Thorough understanding of variable frequency drives.
Clear and detailed written and verbal communication skills.
Works well within a cross-functional team to complete projects
Ability to solve complex problems logically and expeditiously.
Solid troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent computer skills, familiar with MS Office Suite.
Highly self-motivated and works well with limited supervision.
Familiarity with NEC and NFPA codes are a plus.
