Xerox Engineer I, Mechanical Engineering in Webster, New York
Purpose/Description of Function:
Engineering activities required for the design/development, measurement/testing & manufacturing/supply of electromechanical components & modules. More specifically, the activities provide quality/cost/supply engineering support for Xerographic cartridge consumables for Xerox machines in all of North America, Europe and developing markets.
The team is responsible for the cost/quality/delivery of 2.5 million modules per year. The team operates as a $150 million business providing consumables for Xerox.
Requires knowledge/experience in engineering with an expectation of on-the-job learning in areas related to quality/cost/delivery of xerographic cartridges & technologies.
Strong knowledge/use of excel & power point for analysis & presentation of results. Not required, but helpful, is familiarity with CAD, mechanical design/analysis, plastic/metal part fabrication, statistics, six sigma tools, manufacturing.
Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers
Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
Position provides a strong engineering/business foundation & gives broad exposure to many areas of Xerox
Bachelor of Science in Engineering required (Mechanical Engineering is most applicable)
Masters of Science in Engineering preferred (Mechanical Engineering is most applicable)
