Xerox Engineer I, Product & Systems Engineering in WEBSTER, New York
Title
Office Products Partnered DFE Engineer
Objective
Perform Engineer role during delivery of digital front ends (DFEs) from 3rd party partners to Office digital printer programs (including Prysm and Lipari). Interact with all functional areas (including, but not limited to business groups, marketing, system test, service, and launch) during development and delivery of DFEs.
Essential Functions
Act as technical liaison between 3rd party DFE supplier and all development and support during the development / delivery cycle of a program
Represent DFE functional status at program team meetings and support TFE phase gates
Develop DFE strategies
Manage features and requirements for each DFE release
Ensure QCDs for DFE subsystem are met
Plan and perform engineering validation of DFE hardware and software
Facilitate integration, system testing, and delivery of DFE
Manage technical problems, issues, and risks
Review customer, service, and analyst documentation and training
Provide SME support as requested by value chain
Ensure safety and agency testing is completed and certifications are achieved
Help support customers as necessary (particularly for hot and/or large accounts)
Qualifications
BS electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or system engineering; or BS in math or science discipline
Two to seven years experience in developing or supporting digital printing solutions
Working knowledge of TTM and 3rd party relationship processes
Excellent written, oral, teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation skills
Able to proactively work toward goals
Customer oriented
Knowledge of DFEs, particularly EFI Fiery a plus
Workflow knowledge (both static and variable information) a plus
