Performs disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and final assembly of equipment for printing systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Disassembly of machines into components

  • Clean, inspect, and modify parts as required.

  • Complete assembly processes, establish critical settings, validate expected parameters, and mechanical test and trouble-shooting activity as required for large-scale production printing systems.

  • Review and interpret machine and system specifications, mechanical drawings, and diagrams as required

  • Adjust and repair machines, assemblies, and components as needed

  • Follow safe job procedures and maintain a clean work environment


  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Successful completion of the Manufacturing Assessment (Purdue Pegboard, Reading Comprehension, Visual Assembly)

  • Successful complete of Reading Comprehension and Mathematics (Applied and Computational)

  • Prior manufacturing experience desired

  • Ability to follow written and oral instruction

  • Works well with others.

  • Ability to operate hand tools and power assist tools.

  • Ability to perform light to moderate lifting (<50lbs.) activity

  • Computer proficiency to access process instruction and record assembly activities
